About Arovenn
Nobody could tell us what was wrong
Clean scans. Good physios. Sensible advice. And still that dull ache in the lower back by three in the afternoon.
Arovenn started with a shoe cupboard full of failed attempts — the max-cushion trainers, the second pair kept at work, the custom insoles that cost more than a weekend away. Every one of them promised to fix it. Every one of them was more foam, more support, more shoe.
Then a physio asked a question nobody had asked: what are you standing in for twelve hours a day?
The bit everyone skips
Your feet are built to spread out, bend, and feel the ground.
Most everyday shoes stop all three. A narrow front squeezes your toes together. A raised heel tips you forward. A thick sole cuts off everything your feet are trying to tell you. Your body adjusts, because that's what it does — and the adjusting doesn't stop at your ankles.
So people do the exercises. And the stretches. And the physio. Then they spend the rest of the day in shoes that quietly undo it.
We're not here to sell you a cure. We build shoes that stay out of the way, so the work you're already doing has a chance to hold.
What we make
One shoe, built properly, for every day.
Wide at the front so your toes have room to spread, the way they do barefoot.
Thin and flexible underneath so your foot can bend and feel the ground instead of sitting on a slab.
Level from heel to toe — no lift, nothing tilted, nothing for the rest of you to work around.
No foam to flatten out after 300 miles. No rotation to manage. No spare pair under the desk.
What we won't do
We won't tell you these are magic. They're not, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something.
We won't claim to treat anything. We build footwear, not medicine.
And we won't pretend the switch is instant. Your feet have been held still for years. Give them a fortnight, go slowly, and let them wake up properly.
Start at the ground
One pair. Every day. Nothing in the way.
